Yoga is well known for its infinite benefits. Whether they’re physical; improving strength, and flexibility, building a sweat, recovering from injuries, or more on a meditative level promoting calmness, stillness, and relaxation. Through the use of asana, you become more aware of your body, and by incorporating breathing you create a moving meditation that brings awareness of your spiritual self.
The strengths and flexibility that come from dedicated yoga practice will at one point translate into your everyday lives, changing the way you deal with problems and situations. By practicing yoga you’ll learn discipline and challenge yourself on and off the mat without taking anything too seriously. This 8-wall Mongolian yurt, with its simple and elegant circular space, will support the practice, creating the right environment to find a perfect balance of focus, tranquility, and relaxation.
The school is innovative and highly professional and guarantees quality and safety during all the lessons. Once in the water, groups (maximum of 6 people per instructor) will be divided according to surf level and previous experience and every alumn will receive personalized instructions and feedback. The instructors, as experienced local surfers, know the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve perfectly and they choose every day the best spot and timetable for the lessons.

Our surf school has been founded by a professional surfer and a former international judge of surf competitions.
Guided by their passion and knowledge on surfing, they trained their instructors to give the most professional and efficient lessons with fun and safety in the water.
According with your surfing level and the conditions of the ocean, you will join different groups once on the surf spot.
The lesson for the beginner group (max 6 people per instructor) is held in a safe area on the inside where you will be able to practice all the surfing basic techinques while enjoying the first rides on a wave. If you will rather join the intermediate group (max 4 people per instructor), you will paddle to the line up and catch green waves, learning how to perform the first manouvers and to get comfortable among the other surfers.
The main spot of our surf lessons is Ribeira D’Ilhas, one of the most famous waves in Europe and location of many important competitions.
You will fall in love for its regular, consistent and forgiving waves!
The daily timetable will be flexible, depending on the weather and ocean conditions to allow the guests to enjoy the best waves during the surfing lesson. At the surf school, you will find qualified instructors to guide you step by step and provide you with all of the necessary equipment. Then you can choose every day one of the two yoga lessons scheduled in the shala.
The one in the morning, at 08:00, will be more dynamic and energizing, based on a mix of Ashtanga, Vinyasa while the one in the afternoon, at 18:00, will be slower and based on a mix of Hatha, slow flow, and Restorative yoga with 30 minutes of yoga Nidra session included.
As the staff is Italian, food is always in their mind and plays a central role in their day! Moka believes in a healthy and fair food market so the staff tries to reduce food miles using seasonal and local products, with special attention to vegetarian foods.
